apparently horror film logic also goes for Virgins in the Bible. if you are still pure, your chances of being killed are less. of course, then you are ripe for rape in the midst of everyone around you not a virgin having been killed...troubling
Except there is the daughter of Jephthah (Judges 10-12). At least she got some time to mourn never getting to lose her virginity before being killed by her father.
